Chroma presents Harvest Madonnari Festival

Chroma Projects, in conjunction with its "Farm Use" exhibition, presents the Harvest Madonnari Festival. Inspired by the 16th century i madonnari tradition of street artists creating images of the Madonna on Italian piazzas outside churches, the Charlottesville celebration will feature artists re-creating famous agrarian artworks on chalkboard on the Downtown Mall. Viewers can bid on the chalk drawings, with proceeds benefitting the Piedmont Environmental Council and the Piedmont Council for the Arts. The Downtown Mall. 906-2289.
