Video premiere: "Evening at l’étoile Restaurant"

Over the years, Dish has written extensively about l’étoile Restaurant on West Main Street and its ambitious owner/chef Mark Gresge, a pioneer in bringing fresh local produce to local restaurants. His efforts culminated in a USA Today feature this past summer. Now, if you haven't had the pleasure of eating at l’étoile (or even if you have) we offer a little virtual visit. The Dish, in association with HumbleDown Productions, presents the web premiere of an "Evening at l’étoile Restaurant." Enjoy!

Ya boi deep in a recession mane - cant be eatin dat spensive joint. Join me for a Evenin at da KFC Drive IN playa, or u can find me gettin fat playin dat Mcdonalds Monopoly

I think L'étoile is one of the best restaurants I've been to. Yes it's a bit pricey, but I think it's a better value than fast food. For the same price you can either eat at mcdonalds twice a week, an applebees type restaurant twice a month, or a place like L'étoile once a month. I don't make much money but still choose L'étoile type places from time to time and cook at home in general. Cooking at home is much cheaper than McDonalds, tastier and healthier. Skip the fast food, save the money and enjoy a meal that will knock you socks off once in a while.

We have used L'etoile for years to cater an annual Sports Medicine meeting. The food and its presentation plus the staff are outstanding. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

Their lunch menu is actually $10 a plate which is the same a meal at any place on the Downtown mall and the corner, at places that really can't compare quality wise....
