Quality houses, in good locations will always be sought after in Albemarle. Even so, this sold for $45,000 less than the asking price. There was a day when such a desirable house in a premium spot would have gone well above.
it's got 10 acres so the price was higher. I predict a "family subdivision" will soon ensue.
Condos on Yellowstone drive have/are seeing a lot of foreclosures. The one mentioned here is not the first by any means.
They OVERPAID. Silly carpetbaggers think they got a deal.
Hook Reader is right. He who catch falling knife get cut fingers.
Just checked county's website..$300+K over assessment and double assessment from true value era of late nineties/early aughts.
P.T. Barnum was right. Even now greedy sellers continue to score, but for every one that does many just watch the for sale sign rust away with no takers. But the hope of finding the greater fool continues to levitate residential real estate here and in other parts of the country. $1.3 mil for a hard to heat big crib with a long commute. 15 years ago it would buy you a real "estate" and you could pose as a country squire.
