Pig out this Friday at Brookville, ah, Bville-Q

Brookville Restaurant on the Downtown Mall is known for its inventive, local food-inspired cuisine, a reputation that earned chef Harrison Keevil an invite to assist celebrity chef Alice Waters in the preparation of her recent feast at Monticello. But for one night this month, Friday, May 4, Brookville is going to become a barbecue joint.

"Bville-Q Restaurant will be a 100 percent locally sourced restaurant, which means the menu will be posted a little closer to the event," says Keevil. "However, rest assured that you will need to bring a bib or a second shirt to change into after we get through with y'all."

Indeed, in addition to beer, cider, and various pig parts making the rounds, the $45 per person event (all-you-can-eat, two drinks included) will culminate in an old-fashioned whole hog pig pickin' at 8pm. Some proceeds of the event will also go toward supporting the Tom Tom Founders Festival.

Call 434-202-2791 to get tickets, as there are a limited number of them. Woo pig sooie!
