Nature omitted in Green insert

I find it sad that the only mention of nature in your 32-page Green & Nerdy section is an ad on page 19 for pest control. [spring 2012 special promo insert]

As my husband commented when I lamented this situation, "Nature is the bastard child of the green movement." In other words, nature tends to be shunned when talking about the green movement. Worse yet, when it is mentioned, it's usually viewed as problematic.

The most important aspect of the green movement should be understanding and learning to coexist with the creatures of our world. If we lose them, it won't matter how much we recycle, how much less energy and water we use, etc.

The fact is that our environment can't support us without the critters that perform innumerable jobs out there.
