why do you gotta post the names of the debtors , thats just sad

david p - it is public record, you would be amazed how much is. Another weekly paper used to publish divorces and marriage licenses too. It also could be a legal thing where the debtor's name must be published, so they also may have the opportunity to pay off the debt to keep the property.

They're already posted in the legal notices in that other paper. And most of these auctions probably involve strategic defaults anyhow...

There may be a legal requirement to post them in more than one paper.
