Blue Pavilion: Photos from last night's Jack White concert

The critically acclaimed musician, Jack White, often frowns on photography at his shows, but he allowed access for acclaimed Central Virginia photographer Milo Farineau for the Thursday, September 27 concert at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion.

I was at this show. I'm of two minds about it. One is that I love Jack White, and that's why I went. And it was a good show....for what it was...

So the second is that I was fully disappointed in what, IMHO, was a very short show. They did one encore that ended about when I thought the main set should have ended....before doing an encore. I'm sorry if Jack & crew had to get to Boston for a show the following night. But the tour was set as it was set and we all paid for tickets. I expected more from him than a brief stop by the mall to play a few songs and then run off to the next gig.

I want a half price ticket if he ever comes back.

LOL. Yes, I heard about that this morning. I did have a feeling at the show that he just wasn't all that into it - just going through the motions. Perhaps the NY debacle was its own thing - but it seems more likely that he's got some kind of attitude going on during this tour. Maybe he's just tired...or sauced...or maybe he doesn't think the world loves him as much as it should...
