Carousel in the cold

The carousel at Central Place is supposed to celebrate the Virginia Festival of the Book and the coming of spring. On Friday morning at 34 degrees, that seems like a brisk proposition, but maybe it'll be warmer at noon when the carousel is in operation until 6pm, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 22-24. The carousel is free, and you don't have to be a kid to ride.

The Downtown Business Association of Charlottesville and the City of Charlottesville are sponsors, and DBAC's Bob Stroh remembers the last time they brought a carousel in 2010 to kick off spring. It snowed. Could be déjà vu all over again, given Sunday's forecast.
