The lack of difference is the point. The hook is, was, and always has been by and for white people. Your comment proves this.

Diversity matters, John. People with different skin colors have different opinions and views of the world and express those opinions differently than white people. For example, if Hawes was overweight instead of being a tall skinny white guy would he have attacked Teresa Sullivan's weight? Of course not. In the end, that got him shoved out by the hook's major backers and led to the hook's near bankruptcy.
Maybe it will re-emerge as a black only publication. We can call it The Crook.

@Meanwhile---I thought the exact same thing when I saw the photo. I also thought, if this was some conservative group photo, there would be tons of comments about the lack of diversity.
Sixteen different backgrounds, upbringings, perspectives, voices. Sixteen different human beings in the photograph. Sixteen different lives. This is not a picture of uniformity by any means. Judge them by their character and not by the color of their skin. Keep the dream alive.
How many of them do you know? How many would you judge by a picture alone?
@John, I agree with you 100%. It's too bad many on the left do not apply that same lens when evaluating those on the right.
Obviously my simple observation caused some major consternation.
If it didn't matter at all, I doubt we'd have all these people insisting that IT DOESN'T MATTER AT ALL!!!!
These people think it won't matter when we go back to all-white juries, all white hospitals, all white anything, because the all white media tells them that it doesn't make any difference at all.

That's pretty much all of us, minor point. I didn't insist on anything except a mathematical concept, I just asked a question and look at how riled up I got people (a little riled up)

His life will have even less meaning, (yes, I think it is possible for such a pathetic thing to reach an even more pathetic place) when the Hook finally shuts the website down.

I like the stream of conscious thing. I wish I'd thought of it when Dede, Dede's kids, Richard, Dave, Betty, Rebecca and their band of vitriolic water planners were bombarding these pages with their ugly comments. The Hook always was a tool of Dede's. Now what will she do without it??
