The Budos Band is one of the key projects from the soul revivalists at Daptone Records, and though this may strike some of you as heresy, most days we'd take them over even the flagship Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings. Think instrumental Afrobeat, but with ominous minor-key horn riffs exploding over every track and a badass rock edge that's more punk rock than Fela Kuti. Seriously, don't you dare miss this.
