Cold hit: Police connect Morgan Harrington slaying to Fairfax attack

news-harringtonattackerwantedsketchThe suspect, depicted here from the 2005 victim's description, would now be 30 to 40 years old. FAIRFAX POLICE

Police investigating the slaying of 20-year-old concert-goer Morgan Dana Harrington have made a "cold hit" connecting forensic evidence obtained in the investigation with an unknown 2005 rape suspect in Fairfax.

The young woman from Roanoke, who was pursuing an education degree at Virginia Tech, disappeared after leaving a Metallica concert on the night of October 17, 2009. Her mostly skeletal remains were discovered a little over three months later on 742-acre Anchorage Farm in southern Albemarle County.

Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Appomattox Field Office, University of Virginia Police, Albemarle County Police, and the Charlottesville Police are working with the City of Fairfax Police in regards to both criminal incidents.

Those with information about the man featured in the attached “Wanted Poster” may contact City of Fairfax Police Detective Mike Boone at (703) 385-7959. Anyone wishing to provide information in the Morgan Harrington case is encouraged to call the Jefferson Area Crime Stoppers at (434) 977-4000 or Virginia State Police at (434) 352-3467 or email State Police at . A reward of $150,041 is still available for anyone with information that leads to a resolution of the Harrington crime.–developing–-

"The only thing I have said in that regard is that UVA was actively engaged in a ââ?¬Å?cover our ass” campaign from the start. A campaign that most of their student body was more than happy to support."

Yes. The UVa student body was working hard to block LE's attempts to find the perpetrator. Just like UVa had Huguely's warrants sealed....oh wait they didn't, it was the prosecutor.

LOL You are unreal

The news of the student's death was reported on the FRONT PAGE of the Cavaliar Daily. Strange how Casteen could stop a corporate giant like NBC from reporting on it but not even the little ole college paper.

BTW, I'm sure there was some reporting on the death.

Some reporting on NBC i meant*

Jake, there was a Cavalier Daily article about the lawn sightings this past Spring.

nbc29fan, it's been 3 weeks since I challenged you to explain why your entire news organization somehow avoided any coverage of a 21 year old UVA student dropping dead in a UVA frat house in early April. It seems that, somehow, such a tragedy is not news at all according to your organization. It wasn't news to The Hook, C-Ville Weekly, or the The Daily Progress either.

Anyone from out of town on this thread:
This is how this place works.

maybe the police should seach the apartment building 2 see if any one lived there matching that photo since her shirt was there at 15th st and grandy ave apartments just an idea for the police

I just looked up the East Coast Rapist and articles indicated his DNA was already on file. So unless the police aren't mentioning it matched his crimes, it is not him. But the sketch of the East Coast suspect does look a lot like the sketch of the unsub in the Harrington case, you are definitely right.

@Yes. Thanks for making me feel like the rest of the people here demanding for Nancy Grace...sigh...made me feel dumb

Sean,

Then why doesn't the Cavalier Daily explain the sighting?

Reading comprehension fail, much?

Well, the billboard that had her face on it asking for tips for solving her murder is down. It's been replaced with a CBS News 19 Billboard.

Must be close. Extremely close.

Just like this "Fairfax" rapist (who is now connected to Morgans rape and murder) this "East Coast Rapist" would physically pick up his victims and carry them off to a nearby, pre-determined "practically right out in the open" location. Besides his "sketch" looking alot like one of the "East Coast Rapist's" sketches, this is where the similarity apparently ends....unless this loser had managed through all of his robberies to eventually afford a car and gas money. That he had never killed any of his many rape victims up to that point....In Morgan's case doing it unintentionally (solid punch to her already injured face) to stop her attack on him.

Actually, I've never seen any human being with hair like the one in the sketch.

Can someone find out who drew that sketch? I wonder what success they've had in the past with their sketches. He looks a little like Ed Bradley, the former national newscaster. And I know he wouldn't co anything like this. Haha.

Well, the Newsplex donated the billboard space for a month.

Unbelievable wrote: "Oh, Sean is back already? Can’t find any more UVA coeds to bed?"

They do seem to be the only thing about our town that he celebrates. Is that why he choses to live here rather than some place with people who share his views?

I remember the coverage of the student's death. That was when the grieving father publicly rebuked you for being uninformed and insensitive, wasn't it, Sean, and publicly thanked people for standing up to your nonsense, wasn't it?

Would the DNA for known sexual predators be in the state database?

If you view the local sexual predator list you will find a similar look alike there. VSP have been advised by email but there is no response back. Often times things are just right under your nose that you do not see or in this case suspect.

@Polly Esther: If you "Blink" while looking at the picture, the resemblance is more clear.

The perp in Oregon reminds me of Adrian Dantley.

Can anyone do photoshop and do a picture of this guy without his beard ?

I have been critical of LE from the get-go -- hopefully very soon I'll have to eat my words and give a public apology.

The Harringtons have been vocal and concerned for other women who are placing themselves in danger from the get go -- even before Morgan was found.

Without pointing an accusatory finger , to all young, and older women -- if you travel in a group to any location, especially a venu far from your home -- and if you are separated from any member of your group -- do the right thing, at your own expense of having to forfeit, say, watching a concert, go to your friend, find a safe, public place to sit and wait for the remainder of your party to return to your home safely, all together in one place.

Justice for Morgan right NOW !!

This is the most promising development in the effort to catch the person responsible for Morgan's death yet. I hope the Hook will look into the linked assault thoroughly and update this story with anything they find out, as any additional information about this person may be critical to catching him. Thank you for staying on top of this.

He doesn't look like him to me. And he's on the wrong coast!

I'm excited to hear how this man is connected to Charlottesville and the Anchorage Farm area. Especially after the conference that was held when her remains were found

Yes: Bad example, I admit.

If there's one thing I've learned from the Morgan Harrington case, it's that no one posting on any website about the case really knows as much as the police! If they did, would they be posting it on the internet, or would they be out on their own, trying to solve the case and get the reward money! LOL.

Don't forget people... her shirt was found near 14th St... DNA could have been on that, not necessarily on her bones....

Ok, the police tell us nothing more than:

"...forensic evidence found in the Harrington case matches evidence from the 2005 assault."

Could the police in this case ever make any attempt to demonstrate anything other than an immense vageness?

The story of the Fairfax case as stated provides not a hint at any connection at all, other than both victims were female.

At what point are we supposed to be impressed at all?

ps: I certainly see some near pyschotic imaginations in the above postings.

I'm confused. This man does not look like a fraternity brother or a member of the UVA community. How can this be?

They said forensic...they didn't say where they collected such evidence. IE: clothes, under the finger nails, in her hair...etc. Too much CSI people! Keep to the facts you KNOW because when there is an arrest, defense attorneys will jump to this VERY quickly....you want a CONVICTION not just an arrest and a hung jury after the fact because of too much speculation and arm chair sleuthing!

Does it really take 5 or 7 months to do forensic testing?
***
Ummm, 4-6 months is the usual timetable for DNA testing in the Virginia state lab, as has been reported in many places.

It's also amusing that Sean doesn't get the obvious sarcasm directed at him. No one, but him, would be surprised if the perpetrator did or did not have ties to U.Va. Of course, he still clings to the notion that U.Va. suppressed the release of information in the case, when this has been the policy of Virginia State Police, for whatever reason.

Does it really take 5 or 7 months to do forensic testing?
***
Yes.

There are 2 labs in Virginia. Figure out the mouth

math*

I don't believe Chief Miller's retirement has any relation to Morgan's case. If it's anything but a strictly personal decision, I think it would more likely be connected with the recent bad publicity for his department involving officer's personal misbehavior while on duty. As for BlueRidgeGal saying people usually plan to retire. My take on her comment was was more of a personal financial planning standpoint than how long it takes to get into the retirement system.

I wonder how many other assaults or murders this same man has committed. Surely more than two...

BTW who is this "East Coast Rapist" someone mentioned? Could it be the same guy?

Sean,

If you have evidence that people have information about the lawn, and took lawyers, please present it to this forum immediately.

Otherwise, accept as an alternate possibility that NO ONE HAS AN EXPLANATION.

And we really don't know, or need to know, what students reported to law enforcement.

Again, they were under no obligation to report information publicly just to satisfy your idle and prurient curiosity.

What on earth are you blathering about Sean? Do you really still not understand what the facts are regarding the sealed warrants in the Huguely case?

Ummm, Sean-y doesn't the age and prior criminal history of the suspect really work against the Lawn sighting, which many reasonable people have always had doubts about? It's possible that Morgan was seen in the company of college students, as well as a man in his 30's with a history of blitz attacks against women, several hours after the concert, but rather unlikely.

We all know that you wish that local media reported on gossip and rumor concerning U.Va. 24/7 to satisfy your unmet emotional needs. You've made that abundantly clear.

Sean wrote: "Last time I checked, UVA had a fairly large number of black men as students, faculty, staff, and alumni. I even think they travel to Northern Virginia sometimes! I don't know. Where is there an instant presumption that the perp is from DC?

@nearby just do your research

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-35 years of age and approximately 6' 0'' with a medium build, black hair and a mustache.

@Austin, thank you for doing my research for me. More to the point, though, if the police want help finding people whose pictures they release, then perhaps all the accompanying information should also be included. I went directly the Va. State Police news release on the organization's website and was unable to find the information. As a former reporter, I am used to finding information myself. Similarly, there must also be a commitment by the disseminating organization to package all the information together in such a way that leaves no gaps. This is no cold criticism or stroppy sarcasm. Just an observation by someone who knows what she's talking about. At least, in this instance. :-)

Second look at surveillance video and people's personal video recordings of the night.

This investigation is soooo NOT over.

I think we need to wait for common forensic evidence to reveal itself and gauge the strength of it then. It seems like this could be a red herring for all of us in the peanut gallery. I highly doubt a out-of-town black man killed MH.

So you're saying an out-of-town black man assaulted the woman in Fairfax?

Jeff D: The police aren't in the business of impressing you. Hope this helps.

Susan: He doesn't look anything like the perp on your website. .. The commentary here should speak for itself, I'd rather not point out the obvious problems with your statement.

The Harrington's are medically trained people. I believe they know what DNA is and would not use the term if they did not have information about the forensic evidence that points to DNA

The police in Charlottesville could give a rats patutie about this case. So they give a press release about the location of where the body was found. Now they have forensic evidence (DNA) linking these two cases WITH a sketch of the guy and they say nothing. Where is the logic? Way to serve and protect.

I'm glad there is a break in this case, but again I'm perplexed how it seems the very minimum of information is given to the public all these months later. I know the cops keep stuff quiet on purpose for good reasons sometimes, but this case must be getting really cold now. Even with this great new lead, you have to remember that they haven't found him in 5 years too.

Why not just tell the public if the forensic evidence is DNA, or what it is if it isn't? Was there a sexual assault on Morgan, or was there just some hair found on her shirt? Does it really take 5 or 7 months to do forensic testing? As I've said before, UVA and local media colluded to make sure some details in this case made their way to the public late, or not at all. That is history that is chiseled in stone now, no matter how the case (hopefully) is resolved.

It's interesting, though, to see those UVA connected folks here apparently jumping with joy that the sketch is not of a 20 year old wearing a baseball cap backwards and wearing a LaCoste polo shirt. Because, goodness knows, no such person at such an elite university could EVER commit a sexual assault or murder, right?

Last time I checked, UVA had a fairly large number of black men as students, faculty, staff, and alumni. I even think they travel to Northern Virginia sometimes! The instant presumption that the perp is "from DC" is another example of the wishful thinking by these folks still trying to keep the lid on UVA's negative publicity even now that it has blown off. I never once said that the perp(s) must be from UVA, but there are plenty around here who still don't seem to want justice for Morgan if that justice involves anyone associated with "The University." The only thing I have said in that regard is that UVA was actively engaged in a "cover our ass" campaign from the start. A campaign that most of their student body was more than happy to support.

I agree with those who would like all the videotapes from the area that night to be made public, though. No harm in getting more eyes on all that film, and to see if there are any curious gaps in it. I hope that at least the Harringtons have been given every second of it/them to review themselves.

As if Chief Miller would retire over _something_ AT ALL. Retirement is planned YEARS in advance and is not something you can just do at the drop of a hat. How about he's retiring because he has years of service and he deserves it? Good grief, the man is over 60 and has had a heart attack!

And the people who think the police are obligated to tell all the tidbits to the salivating masses, well, get over it - they're not. Yeah, let's let the bad guys get away so that the populace can have their tittilation.

Also, why is everyone assuming that the suspect is from Fairfax just because the crime was committed there?

This Fairfax rapist sketch matches several sketches of the "East Coast Rapist", who's apparently as bold as brass (possibly pointed a gun at Morgan and told her to get in the car?) and prefers to wear camouflage (hunter's?) clothing. I'm sure by now his DNA has ruled out of Morgan's case....or has it?

BlueRidgeGal, just a tiny point: Retirement can be decided on and carried out in more like 60-90 days, and in some cases (as with a friend's husband, who just retired from the City) even quicker. At UVa, they tell you to allow 90 days (and I know--I just did it myself) for the paperwork to clear the Virginia Retirement System. In my case, it took more like 45 days. Also, for extenuating circumstances such as illness, I expect the university and VRS have ways to expedite the process.
Yes--most people plan their retirement far in advance, but that doesn't mean it's a requirement.

Hilltopper,

Did ANYONE on the lawn come forward and explain who the 4 people were who were spotted thereon with someone who looked like Morgan the night she vanished? Did anyone amongst their peers put pressure on them to do so? Did the student who lived in the room where they were spotted coming out of come forward publicly and explain exactly who those people were?

Or did everyone just lawyer up, warn the media not to print their names, and vanish themselves into a cloak of silence regarding all of it? Do you think this would have played itself out in the exact same way if the people keeping silent were residents of, say, Hardy Drive?

Additionally, the dates when local media knew of certain details in this case, and the dates when they dared print them (in some cases, they didn't at all) are now a matter of the historical record. You cannot change them now.

Your presumption that Mr. Casteen has no pull with Charlottesville's Commonwealth Attorney is laughable. Just look at the way he was able to keep the media from covering news in a missing persons/murder investigation! But it seems that the warrants are going to come out anyway. The local creeps tried to keep some of what lies beneath at UVA quiet, again, in a murder case. But this time some national media organizations got involved and took on our local cabal. Baton down the hatches, as it is going to be another rough week for UVA.

Baton down the hatches,

Calling Mrs. Malaprop!

"Batten"

The guy in the sketch looks to have a bad toupee. That should narrow down the search considerably.

Could the state police also release a physical description. This picture is hard to decipher to me. How tall is the man? What ethnicity? Weight? Etc. I guess if you know him, you'd just know it was him.

any news here is good news....i hope this turns out well.

interesting that if true, it about the most unlikely scenario that all the junior sleuths had run by us before. its not an ex boyfriend, a drunken group of frat boys, the kickee, george hugeley, mr bass or a roadie.

its career criminal from metro DC. sorta blows the uva coverup theory out of the water.

lets find the bad dude and punish him.

I guess the investigation's over.

I don't understand. What about those people who made such a big deal about the semantics of homicide vs. murder? How does forensic evidence tying this case to a previous sexual assault fit into their theory?

The state police news release states that an abduction and sexual assault occurred in Fairfax. Why wasn't this released earleir, when people might remember a face and a car, etc...

Because they just got the DNA or other forensic evidence back from the state crime lab connecting the two cases ....

Well, the state police got a DNA hit connecting both cases. Perhaps the perp moved in the intervening five years.

I think we need to wait for common forensic evidence to reveal itself and gauge the strength of it then. It seems like this could be a red herring for all of us

Is you reading comprehension that bad?

"Police investigating the slaying of 20-year-old concert-goer Morgan Dana Harrington have made a ââ?¬Å?cold hit” connecting forensic evidence obtained in the investigation with an unknown 2005 rape suspect in Fairfax.

Clearly, common forensic evidence links the two. You go ahead and "gauge the strength of it", the rest of us will look for her killer.

btw, where's Nancy Grace when you need her? She could snap her fingers and get this guy's composite sketch on the front page of cnn.com. Didn't she make enough ratings off this case?
With enough exposure, I'd give this guy <48 hours of freedom.

The important thing is that SOMEONE KNOWS THIS PERSON. He has attacked a woman before, and in all liklyhood he will do it again. Whooever put that shirt out did Morgan a big favor. Now if they would complete the favor by getting this person arrested. Just turn him in!! Turn him in before he finds another young woman to attack. Let's end this please.

Albeboy: no, I'm saying based on this story, that it suggests that evidence from a case involving an out-of-town black man who commited rape in Fairfax 2005 is tied to the MH case. (Presumbly he lived in the Fairfax area and so he would not be out-of-town in relation to the Fairfax assault, but we don't actually know his residency status at the time of the Fairfax assault). Anyway, my point was that to jump to the conclusion that an unknown 2005 rapist is specifically MH's killer is a stretch--based on the info provided by the Hook in this story.

Yes: this story says nothing about DNA evidence, only forensic evidence. Do you have a link to a source that indicates DNA evidence? If so, that's important and extremely enlightening.

****: common forensic evidence links the 2 cases in some way (at least at this point), but it doesn't necessarily follow that the 2005 Fairfax rapist is MH's killer.

The Harringtons, who talked with Virginia State Police today, said it was from DNA, according to a Roanoke TV station. The Virginia State Police won't comment one way or another on whether it was from DNA.

i think this is to get pressure off of LE who has had nothing substantial during the entire course of the investigation. isn't the AC chief of police retiring in a month or two? the heat is on ...

i wonder if DNA information can be fabricated, misinterpreted and/or used accordingly when needed by LE agencies who don't have a clue.

common forensic evidence links the 2 cases in some way (at least at this point), but it doesn’t necessarily follow that the 2005 Fairfax rapist is MH’s killer.
If evidence collected from Morgan's remains could be linked to a suspect in oh, say an embezzling case or maybe someone sought for money laundering, Id perhaps agree with you, but to concede that evidence collected from her remains links to a suspect in a violent physical and sexual assault and abduction, and then to assert that it may be a coincidence? I'd say you're pretty far out on a very thin limb.

he is not the main killer, but knows who is.

No, obviously the perp MUST have ties to U.Va. because everything bad comes from U.Va. The Casteen Cloaking Device must have prevented his arrest in Fairfax City years ago.

Yes: The linked article starts:

"Gil Harrington met with investigators Thursday about her daughter Morgan’s murder. She and her husband are convinced the suspect in a 2005 abduction and sexual assault in Fairfax, killed their daughter.

ââ?¬Å?How does your DNA happen to be on a dead girl? DNA doesn’t land like rain on a dead girl,ââ?¬Å? said Gil."

No where else in the article is Gil's DNA claim corroborated by LE or other parties.

****: An example of common forensic evidence would be "A white car was seen at both crime scenes." This is why we need to hold on and wait to find out what exactly what the common evidence is and then judge the usefulness.

@manbearpig: But is your example with the white car forensic or circumstantial?

Circumstantial because based on reports, not on actual physical evidence.

People really are dense. There's a 99% probability that this occurred: Police retrieved DNA from Harrington's remains, took the usual 4-6 months to process it, got a "cold hit" to the Fairfax case, met with the Harringtons today and told them details that they have not released to the public, and then the Harringtons told the local media some of these details.

Or are you suggesting that the Harringtons are just making up details for some reason?

An example of common forensic evidence would be ââ?¬Å?A white car was seen at both crime scenes.”

You obviously don't know what the word "forensic" means. I've never heard of eyewitness testimony being referred to as "forensic" in nature. On the other hand, "forensic evidence" usually refers to the following:

Criminalistics is the application of various sciences to answer questions relating to examination and comparison of biological evidence, trace evidence, impression evidence (such as fingerprints, footwear impressions, and tire tracks), controlled substances, ballistics, firearm and toolmark examination, and other evidence in criminal investigations. In typical circumstances, evidence is processed in a crime lab.

Another reason for DNA collection when a woman reports an assault!

However, from the picture, he looks like half the people I see on my way to work everyday. He even looks like the perp on my website.

Good job matching the DNA, hopefully it will take LE to the next step.

My heart is bursting with joy for the Harrington's. Hopefully this man is the killer and not an accomplice that has also been killed. Either way the murder of Morgan Harrington is well on it's way to being solved! Outstanding work state crime lab!

I believe that LE should go interview the Grandmother who was picking up in grandson between sets who said she saw Morgan in parking lot puling away from dark skin man who appeared to be trying to pull her away from concert and she was trying to get back to concert and I believe she told them " they should talk about it tommorrow amd stop fighting" or something to that efffect. Alos the witness who said Morgan tried to get him to take her into concert and he refused and she started kicking him.. ect. It was obvious she was trying to make the attacker think she was with someone and it failed with the man refusing her and slipping away to call his G/F to say what Morgan had done. So many times Morgan was refused help and it let to her murder. People should at very least see if anyone needs help before assuming they are beinnnng aggressive in a case as Morgans', At very least get the atention of a police officer ir security.
Was this Guy a hired security for the concert? Everything should be checked out. Is he a city worker or someone who works at UVA. Clearly he is familiar with the area. SOMEONE out there KNOWS who he is.

Tahoe, agreed completely! not to mention the picture is FIVE YEARS OLD....this guy could have changed his appearence since then...however, I do hope that this is the break the case needs. Too long to mourn a daughter that pass in this fashion....hearts and prayers out to the Harringtons!

What is Jeff D's point? I suppose that the forensic evidence could be hair or fingerprints, etc., but when the parents of the victim, who have met with Virginia State Pplice and been briefed on the matter, come out and say that the match was DNA, then it was probably DNA.

Also, there are more connections to the Fairfax case than he would suggest. The Fairfax victim was abducted while walking alone, taken to another area, and then physically and sexually assaulted. She only escaped because a passerby scared the perp.

"Another reason for DNA collection when a woman reports an assault!"

What if it's a totally bogus report? Even then?

You know, all of this stuff people are saying about being careful and getting people like this off the street -- it's somewhat good advice, but not enough like reality. When I went to college, I went to see live music a lot, went out drinking with friends a lot, sometimes I walked to little corner bars where a favorite band was playing, and I came and went without any problems. Yet I was sexually assaulted after leaving college -- by "friends," who were using rape drugs that came on the scene in the 1990s. Police don't even want to investigate most of those drug/gang rapes, but they're very common, the drugs make it easier for an attacker to get away with the crime because sometimes they're not detected. I've suffered multiple assaults since the 90s, but one comes to mind in this case -- I was gang-raped by a "friend" and some of his buddies in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania in 2008. Then just a few weeks later, was drug-raped again in my home in Stafford. (That "friend" from Pennsylvania knew my address in Virginia by the way.) The police in Pennsylvania chose to do a rape kit and investigated, but they never arrested my friend, probably he and his rape gang all had a cover story to protect each other. When the same thing happened a few weeks later in Stafford, the Sheriffs there didn't even want to do a rape kit, although I called all over until I found a nurse who leaned on them hard enough to do one -- after 24 hours had passed and it was apparent that someone had come back and "cleaned up" the area with harsh chemicals. The Stafford Sheriffs also didn't take a report, so I didn't even have the opportunity to tell them about my "friend" from Pennsylvania who apparently drugs and gang-rapes women and videotapes it, and then circulates the videos among the communities. I've heard comments from people working in restaurants all the way from Shartlesville to Harrisburg who recognize me from a video circulating of my rape(s). That seems to be the latest trend in sexual assault -- it's organized crime, and they're very good at conning women into trusting them. My ex-"friend" owned a body shop in a small town in Pennsylvania, in fact my brother and I had both bought a used car from the man because it was a good deal, and I let him fix my car when I could have taken it to a larger shop, because I thought he was a struggling single parent who needed the money. I considered him to be a friend of the family, and later when I checked, the only criminal record he had officially was brawling here and there. The Harringtons are lucky in that the police in Fairfax actually did their jobs in the old rape case, so the police in Charlottesville now have something to go on. But to me, it seems strange that her body would end up on a remote farm when the attacker is probably just a predator from DC -- seems too much like the organized crime engaging in sex crimes these days. Either way, all this "be careful about drinking" stuff might help protect girls from maybe 1% of the predators out there. The predators are all around you -- just check the Megan's Law website for Virginia. You have to be careful of everybody everywhere, and even that's not enough. Getting police who take rape seriously is a big part of it, but they're still going to get you, because they're criminals -- if one way fails, they'll find another.

If somebody does think they know him, regardless of whether he's well-educated or not, I hope that person will report their suspicions to police. With DNA evidence, they'll be able to tell if he's a match. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a doctor, or a fireman, whatever -- predators come from everywhere. But I do know the prejudice you're talking about, where people are fooled into thinking that someone is "normal" or "couldn't possibly be a rapist" just because they're well-spoken and not visibly foaming at the mouth.

It's been five years ago this perp committed his sexual assault and so far he is getting away with it. It just takes too long for justice to occur--if ever.

I don't think that the Virginia State Police took Miller's retirement into account at all in releasing this evidence. I've seen it suggested on message borads that Fairfax Police were going to release information about the match if VSP didn't get around to it, but I've seen no confirmation of this.

Oh, Sean is back already? Can't find any more UVA coeds to bed?

Please learn some basic facts:

1. People who are unrelated to you dying is none of your business. Should we provide names of all the deaths that happen in hospitals?

2. The student's family requested privacy from media coverage. Are you saying your right to know trumps their right to privacy? What is your right to know anyways? You don't have one, shut up.

3. I would think the fact that the family publicly denounced you and your pathetic attempts to label this a coverup would make you think twice about bringing this up again, but boy, am I wrong. Nothing ever changes you, does it?

Go get a job.

Sean, the Daily Progress is reporting that a 59 year-old man as well as a former president of the Michie Company died in the area recently. I assume that you are badgering local media outlets and harassing their families for the release of private information about the deaths. Unless, of course, you are treating events related to U.Va. differently, which you repeatedly claim is a heinous thing to do.

Jake, there was a Cavalier Daily article about the lawn sightings this past Spring.

It seems that, somehow, such a tragedy is not news at all according to your organization. It wasn’t news to The Hook, C-Ville Weekly, or the The Daily Progress either.

I don't even watch the Channel 29 news! I just had to think up a screen name. :) Anyway, what's my answer to your question? I don't know. Why don't you find out who the station manager of Channel 29 is, call him up and ask him.

Your posts are cool, but you seem almost manic in your dislike for UVa. I don't know what you hope to accomplish: Are you angry about an abortion-related issue? I'm neutral on that and not connected with health care in any way. I was looking at your health care website.

Would someone PLEASE take a look at this man's photo. He looks NEARLY IDENTICAL to the composite sketch and he has just been arrested for sexual assault. I understand this is many states away but it's worth a look...

Take a close look at the way he grooms his mustache, especially on the upper right hand side. Take a look at his eyebrows. There is an AMAZING resemblance to the man in this composite.

Polly Esther must think that all Black men look alike.
