10 Miler: Record # of runners, finishers

The 35th annual Charlottesville Ten Miler on Saturday saw a record number of entrants, at 2750, and a record numbers of finishers, at 2344, according to the running race's organizers, who released the full results. Running vet Mark Lorenzoni tells the tale in the Progress–- including the fact that the Olympic Gold winner Frank Shorter handed out the awards.

Maybe should consider Easter weekend-- this is 1st time has been Easter weekend..then no conflict wiht ukrops 10k

It was awesome out there - a perfect day for the runners and great cheering from everyone.

i thought the crowd support was really weak this year, except in north downtown. everyone cheering anywhere else was a volunteer.
