Stony Point Road mansion burns to the ground

viewimageaspxNBC29 reports that a multi-million dollar estate on Stony Point Road burned to the ground early Sunday morning. Firefighters said the house was vacant when the fire started around 4am, and that it had a sprinkler system–- a sprinkler system!–- that appeared not to work. Arson has not been ruled out, say investigators. The estate appears to be Southwind Manor, a 7,000 square-foot mansion on 115-aces at 4595 Belle Vista Drive which had been on the market for as much as $3.9 million.
