Augusta rethinks coyote bounty

While many locals were surprised to learn that coyotes live among us earlier this year, over in the Valley, Augusta County has had a bounty for killing the wily beasts, budgeting $10,000 annually, the News Virginian reports. At a August 12 meeting, one of the supes questioned whether the bounty really protects lifestock, and suggested discontinuing it.
