Local family makes saucy video

news-vigourA local family is a top-10 finalist in a national contest sponsored by Lea & Perrins Thick Classic Worcestershire Sauce. Crozet-based Danny Vigour and his relatives created the 60-second video dubbed "Dawn of Flavor," which features singing cavemen (and women) dancing around a fire, ripping into meat, and shaking the Lea & Perrins paper-wrapped bottle. Now, online voters will determine the winner of promotional contest, which features a $5,000 cash prize plus hundreds of dollars of meat and sauce products. Voting continues until Thursday, July 30 at 11:59:59.

This is not Danny Vigour's first success in a national contest; in 2008, as a senior in high school, Vigour won a Youtube contest sponsored by the Newspaper Association of America Foundation asking entrants to show ways in which newspapers impact their daily lives.
