Gallery: Local schoolkids create mural on Downtown Mall

In a project overseen by four local organizations, dozens of 4th through 6th graders came together the morning of Thursday, July 16, to create a mural on the Downtown Mall's community chalkboard. To create the

final image, the students worked for more than a week documenting–- through photographs, interviews, and drawings–- what they saw exploring the city. The students' efforts in creating the mural will be compiled into an exhibition set for August 22-23 at The Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative's home at 209 Monticello Road.
