Perriello building big war chest for 2010

The calendar might say 2009, but for Congressman Tom Perriello (D-Ivy), the 2010 election season is already underway. According to his latest filing with the Federal Election Commission, Perriello has already raised $222,794 for his first re-election campaign in the first quarter of 2009 alone. Having won in a historically conservative district by the slimmest of margins in 2008, the freshman congressman will likely face a strong challenge from Republicans eager to take back his seat.
