Brownlee loses bid to become Attorney General

After more than a year of campaigning following his resignation as U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Virginia last spring, John Brownlee will not be Virginia's next Attorney General. On Sunday, May 31, the former fixture in Charlottesville's federal courthouse lost his bid for the Republican nomination to State Senator Ken Cuccinelli of Fairfax in a vote at the Republican Party of Virginia's annual convention in Richmond.
