2 Republicans vie for Samuel Miller seat

Two men seek the Republican nomination to run for the Ivy-centric Samuel Miller District seat on the Albemarle Board of Supervisors, Charlottesville Tomorrow reports. Philip Melita, a retired human resources staffer with GE Fanuc, and Duane Snow, retired garden center owner, go to the Republican caucus May 26. The winner will face off with Democrat Madison Cummings and independent John Lowry in November for the seat Sally Thomas held four terms, three of which she was reelected unopposed.

I wonder what they have to say about the 50-year water supply concept, conservation easements, Unjam, and land use.

Bet Duane Snow is for lots of water no matter what the cost ---the more development the better for his business but Cummings is for the same thing -- free the Moorman's and mimic Sally's position--quite a marriage the Nature Conservancy and unlimited development for the land barons--go figure
