Film fest gets new director

Word's out: the Virginia Film Festival has picked a new director to succeed longtime leader Richard Herskowitz. Jody Kielbasa, founder of the Sarasota Film Festival, officially started May 11 and will be here May 29, drawn by "the affiliation with the University of Virginia and its extraordinary resources," he says. Now all he's got to do is pull a festival together by November 5.
