UVA women fall to Cal in NCAA tourney

Despite a 26-point effort from third-year guard Monica Wright, the UVA women's basketball season ended last night with a loss in the second round of the NCAA Tournament to the University of California at Berkeley, 99-73. Had the Cavaliers prevailed, it would have been the 700th win of head coach Debbie Ryan's career. The 'Hoos finish the season 24-10.
