Roadside signs under attack by County

Signs illegally placed in the public right-of-way (the subject of an old Hook cover story) may be yanked and the perpetrators penalized beginning February 17, according to an enforcement action Albemarle is initiating after inking a deal with VDOT, according to a County release.

Well, about time! The County fathers and mothers,(including Dennis Rooker), have been turning a head too long. Of course the signs are blighting and illegal. Albemarle roadsides were given up for a "cheap look" quite a while ago. Finally enforce thw law in the County. Is this too much to ask of our representatives?
