University Art Museum gets new director

More than a year after popular UVA art museum director Jill Hartz was abruptly shown the door, Bruce Ambler Boucher, curator of European sculpture at the Art Institute of Chicago, has been named her successor. The Virginia Film Festival directorship, a position held by Hartz's husband, Richard Herskowitz, who followed her to a new museum job in Oregon, is still open. According to the HR website, review of applications for that job will begin February 1. (Super Bowl Sunday?).
