Sabato: 'Ol' Virginny is dead'
UVA professor and political pundit Larry Sabato tells Politico this morning that he sees Virginia leaning for Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) in this year's presidential election and that "Ol' Virginny is dead." "The McCain campaign has a death wish here," Sabato says, citing recent examples of high-profile Republicans denegrating Northern Virginia as not part of the "real Virginia" has reinforced the perception that "the GOP is on the loony right."
