I-64 shooter trial postponed

Slade Woodson, the man facing 15 counts in the March 27 shooting spree that closed I-64, will not go to trial as scheduled September 16, and is considering a guilty plea, the Daily Progress reports today. Woodson is scheduled for a 30-minute hearing December 3 in Albemarle Circuit Court, which suggests a plea agreement, but Commonwealth's Attorney Denise Lunsford refuses to confirm that, and says the brief time on the court calendar could also mean a motion to continue or suppress.
