LETTER- Why the secrecy?

I find it interesting that you report on the "Big Deal" all around town and disclose the selling price of expensive properties, for instance the reported amount Oliver Kuttner received for the sale of the coal tower to Coran Capshaw, but you would not disclose the amount you sold the Jefferson Theater for in your paper.

It seems that every other crucial community sale has been up for public knowledge, but you chose to keep this private.

Editor/seller: It should be in the deed filed at the courthouse in mid-June, and eventually it'll be picked up in the Hook's list of property transactions. But because of space limits, the roundup is usually a few months behind.
