LETTER- Church opposes Amendment

We would like to thank Dr. Hook, John Hong, for his August 17 letter, "Defeat the Marriage Amendment." This amendment is ill conceived, and the more information given to the public on its true nature, the better. 

We are also saddened by the position many churches have taken regarding this issue, as it is not in the spirit of Christianity.

We are pleased to say that our church, Westminster Presbyterian - Charlottesville, has recently taken a stand in support of defeating the amendment. Inclusiveness is a strong part of our mission, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation. As such, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you and your partner to visit and worship with us (note we welcome Episcopalians too!)
