LETTER- Where's George Clinton?

I could not find a single word about the P- Funk show in this week's Hook [September 28]! To overlook Dr. Funkenstein's appearance is appalling. If it was due to space issues, why not give up the congratulatory full page color spot given to Dave Matthews Band?

After all, they got a few pages of review and more in the Jim Webb article. While I appreciate all DMB has done for Charlottesville, their derivative hodge podge doesn't come close the importance of George Clinton's music and P-Funk's influence on generations of musicians. Yet not a single word.

"Funk can not only move, it can remove!"
