MY RIDE- Liz Riedel: 2004 V70 Volvo wagon

Technically, the shiny black Volvo wagon that Sweet Briar student Liz Riedel drives around town belongs to her mother, but Riedel says she's more than happy to drive the spacious luxury wagon even if some might refer to it as a "mom-mobile."

"It has tight suspension, and the turning radius is awesome," says Riedel, as she and her pal, Lauren Hendrickson, burst into laughter. Hendrickson, a PVCC student and Riedel's best friend since elementary school in Richmond, offers perhaps a more honest assessment of the car's appeal: "It's really great, 'cause no one's going to pull you over in the Volvo wagon!"
