MY RIDE- Dennis Mazur: 1999 Lincoln Town Car

"If you're driving long distances, this is the best car you can buy," Dennis Mazur advises about his 1999 Lincoln Town Car. While he isn't a car salesman, he could be an asset to any Lincoln dealership thanks to his glowing endorsement of the sizable luxury sedan. Since he drives between 80,000 and 90,000 miles a year, owning a dependable car is critical.

The Town Car's 4.6-liter, eight-cylinder engine and automatic transmission, he says, make it his motor match. It's not the first Town Car Mazur has owned, and in the past he's racked up more than 350,000 miles before getting a new one. He logs most of those miles between his homes here and in Knoxville,Tennessee. It's a five-hour drive, but while he used to fly for business and for traveling back and forth between cities, these days he prefers the roads over the unfriendly state of the skies.

"After 9/11 and all the delays in airports these days," says Mazur, "I'd just as soon get in my car and go."
