QUESTION OF THE WEEK- How have you changed since the recent downtown break-ins?

Rowan Bruce: "As far as precautions go, in the house we haven't installed any alarms or anything, but we're trying to keep more of an open mind now as far as keeping all the doors locked, all the windows shut, keeping all valuable equipment inside."

Gayle Floyd: "I'm from the DC area, so I automatically lock my car and lock my house when I leave."

Cresap Szarwark: "As a woman, I'm always on guard. I'm confident I would be able to protect myself, but I'm always aware of my surroundings. I just graduated from UVA, and I took a self-defense course there. I have had to use some of those skills, and I'm very grateful I took that class."
