MY RIDE-Barbara Cain: 2006 BMW X3

Barbara Cain touts the convenient size of her BMW X3 and the fact that "We can pull the seats down and move stuff in it." But she also wryly notes, "It uses too much gas."

The X3 is Cain's first SUV, and she got it only because they were moving, "and it seemed like a good idea." She likes that it's comfortable and not too big,  but she also has some major gripes about the car in general. 

While she admits that BMW service is "exceptional," she also says, "I had a Mercedes before, and the steering on this is not as good." 

So has she converted to SUVs after years of sedans? Doesn't sound like it: "I'm not sure I want another one."
