CORRECTIONS- Bocephus' fall; Jury didn't hear allegations

• The January 31 article "Hoedown! Hank Williams Jr., Lynyrd Skynyrd coming to JPJ" mischaracterized the cause of Hank Williams Jr.'s disfiguring 1975 injuries. Williams fell while attempting to scale Ajax Mountain in Montana.

• An overzealous editing job caused last week's cover story about the trial of Raelyn Balfour, "The perfect storm: Family tragedy plays out in court," to misstate what the jury was told in the 2004 trial of Andrew Alston. That jury did not receive information, either at the trial or during the sentencing, about Alston's assault on a girlfriend and then, with the aid of his father, urging her to recant her testimony. (Alston was acquitted of assault and given a three-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter.)
