LETTER- Patrick show not 'ho-hum'

After reading Laura Parsons' Art Feature on the exhibit of Susan Patrick's work "Houses and Neighborhoods" at Angelo's ["Suburban blur: Patrick's ho-hum house work," January 10] , I was pleasantly surprised upon viewing the exhibit to find the works to be delightful, fascinating, and beautiful. Instead of being repetitive, each one offers a very different way of looking at similar elements. The use of overlapping and texture produces complex and subtle depth complete with intriguing ambiguity.

The human story behind these images adds an additional dimension. The more I viewed the works, the more I enjoyed them.

Check out the show. Judge for yourself.
