• The February 14 article "Fresh hope: drug shows promise for ALS sufferers" incorrectly stated the timeline for future studies. "Proof of concept studies" will begin within a year, making way for broader Phase III studies. A further clarification in that article: the compound Dr. James Bennett discovered is the chemical mirror image of the Parkinson's drug Mirapex.
