MY RIDE- Carolyn Ross: 1985 Chevy Blazer

Carolyn Ross loves her Chevy Blazer so much she says she's never even thought about selling it. Even though it's an SUV, she says it's "not bad on gas," because the compact two-door has only a 6-cylinder engine.

"I treat it like a pick-up," she says, "because I can get so many things in it."

Her least favorite thing is the color, which led her granddaughter Erica Chapman to dub the vehicle "the candy cane." Chapman, apparently not a fan of the car, also says that it's simply "not classy."

One of the reasons Ross bought the Blazer in the first place is that it "does good in the winter," she says, something that comes in handy when the ice storms cometh.
