PHOTOPHILE- Bearing witness: Charlottesville stops for the inauguration of President Obama

The inauguration of Barack Hussein Obama II as the 44th President of the United States was an event for which thousands of people in Charlottesville and Albemarle (45,497 to be exact) had looked forward ever since Election Night more than two months ago. So to commemorate the occasion, both the Paramount Theater and the John Paul Jones Arena opened their doors January 20 to anyone who wanted to watch the proceedings on the big screen.
