CORRECTION- Farm article woes

In last week's cover story, "Hard row to hoe: Are luxury farms hurting real farmers," Connie Hicks was misquoted. She was turned down for a loan by Farm Credit & Mortgage, not by Virginia Farm Bureau, which is an organization that offers services to and lobbies on behalf of farmers and rural families across the state. In addition, Bundoran Farm was mentioned as a cattle-free estate when it is, in fact, home to more than 200 head of cattle. And in clarification, when former Jumping Branch farm owner Elizabeth Hamilton says of Hicks and her father, Conrad Hicks, "I cannot speak too highly of them," she is offering praise.
