LETTER- Coyotes deserve habitats too

Looks like our tourism motto is changing to "Welcome to Albemarle– where if it runs wild and doesn't look like a poodle, kill it... if it doesn't look enough like NoVA, pave it." ["Invasion of the doggy snatchers? Uptick in area coyote sightings has residents nervous," April 23.]

We had the fuss about cougars in Crozet and now coyotes in Charlottesville. These poor animals are running out of habitats because we keep allowing developers to ruin it.

The wildlife was here first. So were the woodlands and fields. Can't someone stop this madness and save our precious land?
