LETTER- Keep on drumming

Thank you for covering the effort to keep drumming on the Mall. [July 10: "Drumroll, please: Group exiled until Council acts."] Although I am presently living in California, I hope to return to Charlottesville someday, where my house/home is, and continue drumming with Mr. Whitten and bringing joy and togetherness to the community.

From what I've witnessed here in Northern California, Charlottesville's Downtown Mall is very unique, and the drumming is very much a part of what brings the city and its residents together.

I'm sure a happy compromise can be made between the musicians/the law and the local businesses. We very much appreciate the Council's efforts.
