QUESTION OF THE WEEK-Should police be required to release dashcam footage in the Colby Eppard case?

Patrick Flaherty: "I think, yeah, it's public information. In fact, police chases really should be illegal because they can put up road blocks."

Jon Cobb: "Yes, I think any situation where somebody is gunned down, if there's any sort of photographic evidence it should be released to the public or to the attorneys of the eliminated person."

Mayho Spencer: "I think so. Because the footage should be released to get to the bottom of the situation so they can have a proper investigation of the situation."

Why should it be released to the public? Do friends/family/any other people need to see a person shot to death?
The video should be used as evidence in court, no question. Releasing it to the public serves no purpose other than to fuel the fire.

are you aware of the current staffing of local police forces? Makes it a tad difficult to block every form of exit for somebody running down the road at 100mph on back roads....

There is no valid reason not to release the videos to the family, especially since the Greene County officer fired his weapon outside his jurisdiction.

wekk if you show it to the family and then they LIE about its contents then it now must be shown to the public or be deal with the caused mistrust.

If there is a question then the attorny general for the state should review it today and give a statment and then release it regardless once the matter is closed.

He is supposed to represent the people and if it turns out he lied about it we can unelect him next time around.

BILL: "especially since the Greene County officer fired his weapon outside his jurisdiction."

So you know for sure that Major Snead fired shots?
