CORRECTIONS- Alexander not the source, Habitat's not green apple on greenish, House bigger than we thought

• In the April 29 story Trashformation: Lake Monticello opts for local MRF," Lake Monticello communications manager Peggy Alexander was inaccurately cited as the source for the suggestion that a West Point-based trash hauler SDI— which will replace Waste Management as Lake Monticello's trash hauler– moved to the area to take advantage of entrepreneur Peter Van der Linde's new Materials Recovery Facility. In fact, Alexander merely revealed that Lake Monticello residents had voted to hire SDI. The information about SDI's intention came from Mr. Van der Linde.

• In our April 22 story "ecoMOD Squad: When sustainable gets obtainable," we incorrectly described a joint project between Charlottesville Habitat for Humanity and UVA's ecoMOD initiative on Elliot Avenue as the "first time" the local chapter of Habitat has embraced cutting-edge green design. But, in fact, in 2007, Habitat sponsored a two-unit, eco-modern house at the RiversEdge development on Riverside Drive in the Woolen Mills neighborhood.

• The entire size of the house in the April 29 On the Block, "Elevated offerings: Upgrades will appeal to independent seniors,"was incorrectly reported as 3,125 square feet, and the $9,000 figure for the blinds was, due to an editing error, portrayed as the price of just the three Silhouette blinds.
