• In the October 19 news story "Casteen's green: Ponying up $500,000 for employees' children," Bruce Egan was misidentified. In fact, he's the associate director of the ITS Response Center, the campus' technical help desk at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

• In the October 19 "On the Block" column, "Nortonsville: It makes a village," the 2005 tax assessment included only one of three parcels that constitute the property. Including a second Albemarle parcel in Albemarle and a parcel in Greene, the total assessment is $173,400.
