LETTER- No more midgets

In the article about the circus [December 14: "Wish you were {t}here- Ringling Brothers and the rest"}, the word "midget" was used. ("No midgets or tigers, but plenty of clowns.")

Please note that the term "midget" is often thought of as offensive. If you were referring to people who are born with dwarfism, the proper term is  "little person" or "dwarf." If you'd like to read more about the subject, visit lpaonline.org.
