LETTER- Williams an admirable man

Many of us in the African-American community were delighted by your April 5 cover story, "Tectonic Shift: What will happen when Eugene Williams loosens his tie?"

Eugene Williams is very much revered and respected in Charlottesville, and your story on him was a refreshing change from the same old bland stories favored by the news media in this area. And only he has the style and grace to wear a bow tie on a daily basis, yet another reason why I admire him.

You've restored my faith in local reporters; thanks for a great and warm story!
