This summer marked the 26th year of Albemarle County's annual fair. An abundance of food, rides, and activities attracted young and old alike to the festivities.

In addition to the traditional Ferris wheel and funnel cakes, the fair featured displays and exhibits of local residents' home arts achievements. Categories ranging from art and photography to livestock and green-thumb contests gave locals the chance for some friendly competition– or at least a good laugh in the "husband calling contest."

Open tents provided shade as well as live music and activities for those hoping to beat the heat and stay out of the sun, while rides and games kept fair-goers entertained late each evening of the week-long event.
