MY RIDE- Erin Allebaugh: 2005 Ford Focus

When Erin Allebaugh's last car "blew up," she went on a hunt for her next ride. She found it in her home state, New Jersey. 

"I love the color red, and it was cheap and practically brand new," she says of the Focus with the deeply discounted price tag. "It had been repossessed," she explains. The first owners hadn't had it long, either. "It had only 400 miles on it," she says.

The compact Focus gets good mileage, and handles well on the highway as well as in town. There's just one thing she says she'd change: "I wish it had a sunroof."
