Hole in the wall on Mall?

Looks like there's yet another restaurant coming to the Downtown Mall, The Livery Stable Restaurant and Bar, which will be located at 218 West Market Street, adjacent to the back of the Omni Hotel. According to Chicago-based architect Allan Mellske, construction on the restaurant should begin in about a month or so. Right now, the place appears to be nothing more than a basement door against a blank wall. Stay tuned.

I hope it's a relaxed classically-styled environment. I'm sick of the hip urban style "bars" downtown with modern furniture and glass walls etc. Give me dark wood and exposed brick with a quiet barroom feeling any day. There aren't enough relaxed quiet barroom environments with good food, drinks and socializing space in this city, especially downtown.

Completely agree with Dan. The traditional approach is definitely something that still attracts appeal, particularly in many of the salon furniture that we sell to our clients. Hopefully it catches on...
