Pete Yorn, a 36-year-old New Jersey native, captured the hearts of hot-blooded Americans with his debut rock album, musicforthemorningafter, in 2001. Rolling Stone named him one of the "Ten Artists to Watch" that year. In Charlottesville, he partnered with multi-intrumentalist Ben Kweller for a sold-out show at the Jefferson Theater on Wednesday, March 16.
"I've been touring for ten years, but I've never played Charlottesville," said a surprisingly reticent Yorn after his third song. "I've been here once for a wedding though." The audience was more than willing to show him what he'd been missing...
