UVA hosts symposium examining Greco-Roman perspectives on gender

The University of Virginia hosts a one-day seminar, "Ancient Cultures, New Perspectives: Gendered Approaches to the Greek and Roman Worlds." Specialists in ancient epigraphy, archaeology, art, and Greek and Roman literature discuss new research and theories about gender in the ancient world. Morning sessions, 10am-noon, will be held in Minor Hall, Room 125. Afternoon sessions, 1:30pm-4:30pm, will be hed in Cock Hall 's Gibson Room. 924-3008
